AWARDING/VALIDATION BODY The certificates are awarded by Summit Skills and the Heating, Ventilation and Domestic Engineers Registration and Grading Unit. The certificates expire after three years, when a retest is required.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants will be Apprentices or operators employed in the Building Services Engineering and allied industries who have relevant experience and welding skills. This course is not intended for those with very limited welding experience.
PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE
This course is designed for students and operatives employed in the Building Services Engineering industry. If a brief period of training is required it would be possible to prepare and test Welders for the Summit Skills Certificate.
PROGRESSION/CAREERS OPPORTUNITIES
On successful completion students can progress onto Training and Assessment Programmes for Class 1 Welding.
